A Bit About Me
After fifteen years in software and technology consulting, I felt that I had more to offer to clients than what most firms offer as standard practice. Throughout my career, I've leaned heavily on my background in philosophy which has given me tools to break down problems and find creative solutions that sometimes require a different perspective than what standard practices train us to accept. It also became clear to me that in the pursuit of growth, often times clients and service would take a back seat to profits. I wanted to create something that prioritized clients, ethics, and a vision of the future that extends beyond the next fiscal quarter. I created Ansuz Rational Consulting to fulfill that vision.
Background and Experience
I started my journey at Central Michigan University where I acquired bachelor's degrees in both Philosophy and Computer Science. This gave me a foundational framework in not just technology but the logical and critical thinking skills that would eventually help me excel as a Consultant.

I started my career as a business analyst for a major consulting and technology firm. In this role I supported a hospital system where I gained hands on experience with the implementation and maintenance of ERP, Health Record Systems, and Electronic Patient Record Systems. I also was able to hone skills for process analysis and change management.

My next step furthered my experience as a business analyst and implementation consultant as I worked for a global consulting and software development firm implementing a state-wide ERP system for a large US state. My focus was specifically on tailoring our software to meet the requirements for the state's HR processes for time, travel, and expense reporting. This experience further shaped my views on project implementation and best practices as well as gave me valuable experience in project management.

This led me to my next steps working as a software implementation project manager at two different software companies. The first for the leading InsurTech SaaS based software solution and the next for the largest Environmental, Health, and Safety software vendor. In my role as a project manager I worked with clients to understand their core business use cases and processes and managed an implementation team to deliver tailored solutions. I continued this work after moving from the software vendor side to the implementation partner side when I joined a boutique environmental consulting company as part of their new digital practice.

Throughout this journey, I developed approaches that were more successful, efficient, and sustainable than standard consulting practices. I started Ansuz Rational Consulting as a way to build on these experiences and explore my own ideas on how we should be approaching software in this constantly changing landscape. This has given me a better platform from which I can have a more meaningful impact on my clients and be a trusted partner and advisor.
